Canadian pay day loan CEO Resigns After Denouncing Ebony life situation as being a ‘Terrorist Organization’

An Ontario-based payday loan provider states its CEO has resigned “effective immediately” after calling Black Lives situation a “terrorist organization” and telling employees that the anti-racist team’s values operate as opposed to the values of their company.

Pay2Day, a business that gives profitable loans to cash-crunched Canadians at over 30 areas across Ontario and BC, states reviews from previous CEO Wesley Barker are “not representative of exactly what Pay2Day and all of us are and are a symbol of.”

Barker’s remarks may actually echo right-wing talking points and Elections Canada contribution documents recommend the previous CEO is politically involved — Barker has offered thousands towards the federal Conservative Party of Canada since 2017.
